UCF Health Leaders Academy Helps Teens Chart Path to

At a young age, Izidoria Araujo watched as her father writhed in pain for 23 hours, ready to get clinical care for kidney stones at a small rural clinic in Brazil.

Organized by the University of Medicine’s Business of Variety, Fairness and Inclusion, the 7 days-long summer months academy assisted learners chart their profession paths to health care professions. They discovered about health-centered schooling tracks and plans at UCF, tour university campuses and amenities, and engaged in routines designed to boost curiosity, recognition and passion for science and medicine.
